Video: Manic Monday - Bloom for You! ....c'mon Spring!

Howdy all!  Did you read that post title?  C'mon Spring - already!  Let's go!  Seems like everyday we start our sunny and I've got great hopes for bright days.  But, by noon, the sun has gotten covered by some grayness.  I miss my sunny filled days.  And being on the craft porch is great when it's sunny.  Heck - it's great when it's NOT sunny.  It's still a bright room.
I don't wanna complain to much; for fear that Mother Nature will hear me and retaliate with some s-n-o-w or something, like -20 wind chills.  Nope.  Spring would be good.

But that leads me to today's card.  I'm ready for bright and cheery and so is today's card!  And since it's Manic Monday, I needed to create a quick and simple card (yet pretty).  Therefore - I turned to CAS(e) This Sketch again.  I just love their sketches - a lot for the fact that they are clean and simple - which is right up my alley.

Here is this week's video where you can see just how easy this really came together!

I hope that you've enjoyed this card!  I really love it when a beautiful card can come together in a matter of minutes instead of a matter of hours! (Lord knows I have plenty of those hour+ creations! --- Do you?)

Personally - I'm diggin' the stenciled background on this one.  It seems like a perfect base for that bright pink flower!

Until next time - happy stampin' !

Adorable Spring Pint Containers

WARNING!  This is a photo heavy post!  Full of inspiration...

I've been whipping up these most adorable pint ice cream containers (source linked below).  They are quite simple to create - just let your imagination run wild with these!

 This one is my favorite.....
I used the Suite Sayings, and then some little flowers from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack along with some sequins from my stash.

This one is rather simple, if you can get past the fussy cutting!  Which is something I don't mind doing....my eyes tho....they sometimes mind, and remind me that I probably need some bifocals in my future!!! ;)

A little more complicated - but these flowers are quite pretty.  I touched them up with some Wink of Stella....never hurts to add a little sparkle here and there!

So, what to do with these adorable containers?  I've used them for many things - fill with candy and a gift card.  Use as packaging for jewelry.  Fill with money! Small gifts.  Treats.  And - heck - you could even fill them with ICE CREAM....that's what they were made for!
Hope you enjoyed today's project!  What would you put inside?  Leave me a comment with your ideas!

Praises and Phrases

Heyya! Decided I needed to play along with another sketch challenge this week.  So, I looked to the sketch over at Retro Sketches.  They always have great sketches that challenge me!

Here's the sketch:

I followed the sketch pretty much "word for word"!  Instead of using paper for the stripes tho - I used watercolor to create a wash of stripes.  I went for somewhat beachy tones - anyone else ready to hit the beach?  Plus - I thought the colors went well with the sentiment (Praises and Phrases from Papertrey Ink).

I used gold embossing for the main portion of the sentiment and then stamped the little words in Calypso Coral.

I wasn't sure that this card was "done" - however, I posted it over on Instagram and my Facebook page - I've been assured it's done....what do you think?  Does it need something else???  Let me know if the comments below.
